How it All Began
Life Fest began as a coming together of a plethora of ministries. We desired to have a meeting where those who participated would not leave like they came but would be transformed in Jesus Christ!
We desired a meeting where there was more than just lectures and people preaching (or teaching). We desired to have an intimate environment where those in attendance could better know each other. We were intentional about it not being or becoming “mega”.
Why "Life Fest"
When the leaders of International Circle of Faith (ICOF) looked at all of the ministries connected to us and generally participated in ministry events, we realized the wide scope and impact of these ministries.
Our desire was to focus on more than just having an annual conference because, we have all witnessed and experienced “just another conference” more times than we care to admit. In these meetings, people are seldom impacted or have life-changing encounters. We wanted to change that. When we considered what to call a meeting where people came together with a mutual desire to move beyond the status quo, we thought of Life. Among the key ministries that worked together, several had Life in their names (Life Church, Life College, Life Network, etc.). We did not desire to be “mega” – and and there is already an event named that – but rather, we purposed to create an intimate environment for those who participated. We desired an event where the focus was on LIFE and how we live our lives in the real and challenging world.
Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” -John 10:10b (NKJV).
Thus, Life Fest was born . . .
